Sourdough bread on wooden chopping board

A hands-on beginner’s sourdough bread workshop, where you will learn the basics of sourdough bread making and leave with the knowledge and confidence to bake your own delicious sourdough bread at home!

Hosted by: Olivia Rossi

Date: Saturday, August 5, 2023

Timing: 10am start * 12pm-2pm Break for Lunch* 3pm Finish

Location: Gut Feelings, The Hive, 567 West Whins, Findhorn, IV36 3SH

During the workshop, you will be guided through the process of creating and maintaining a sourdough starter to kneading and shaping the dough. You’ll also learn about the importance and health benefits of this fermentation.

You will receive all the ingredients to make your bread, as well as a proofing basket, liner, muslin and a jar of sourdough starter to continue making sourdough bread at home.

You will need a space in your fridge to store your dough overnight and an oven to bake your bread, as you will be doing this part at home after the workshop. You will be sent instructions for this as well as all the information we will be going over on the day.

Please bring an apron for the workshop, if you wish, as flour does get everywhere!

I very much look forward to meeting you and having fun making this nutritious, easy to access and flavourful Sourdough bread together!
