You are what you absorb.

The digestive system is one of the most fundamental parts of our biological make up and its proper functioning is vital to our health and wellbeing. We are what we absorb meaning that if our digestion is working sub optimally, we may not be getting access to the nutrients in the food that we eat. Symptoms such as bloating, excess gas, constipation and heartburn are only a few of many signs that our digestive system is under stress.

Located at the beautiful Marcassie Farm, this nutritional presentation is aimed at those who would like to learn more about Gut Health and how to improve the functionality of our all important digestive system.

We will work our way through the digestive tract, discussing the anatomy and physiology of each vital part of this system. As each individual stage of digestion is of great importance, we will discuss the ways in which we can enhance the function of each step using food, drinks and lifestyle techniques such as simple yoga and breathing exercises.

The aim of this presentation is to teach you about foods and habits that can be added into your daily routine to make sure that your digestive system is able to work at its best. We will not be discussing specific diets, supplementation or functional testing. The hope is that you will leave with a more thorough understanding of your digestion and the reasons why adding certain things into your routine could be helpful to optimising your health.
